According to FBI reports, property crime rates and violent crime rates are consistently decreasing in US. The violent crimes which were 1,318,398 in 2009 came down to 1,246,248 in 2010. Also the Property crimes came down from 9,320,971 to 9,082,887.
It can be seen that the safest city in America is Plano in Texas. And the most dangerous city to live in is Detroit in Michigan, as it has 1,111 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
