If you have a vintage home décor that doesn’t mean that all the items have to be old. In fact, you can achieve a vintage look using the newest items. The key is the way you arrange the pieces. In case you would like to achieve a vintage style in your home with the touch of fall, there are some ideas that you could use.
Cottage Living Room
When it comes to the living room, you most probably know that it is best to go for dark colored furniture. You should create some contrast by using baby blue fabric for the upholstery and for the curtains. As a finishing touch make sure that you have a lot of flowers in the room.
The Dining Room
You might want to create the décor of the dining room by using both modern and vintage pieces that symbolize the passing of time. Choose vintage wallpaper with flowers, a simple, wooden dining table and modern chairs in a white color. This way you will achieve some contrast, but the items will be able to blend in into the décor.
Let your bathroom be inspired by the barn. You should make sure that the faucet comes out right of the wall and consider adding a tub that has its sides covered by wood. Add a rustic chair that will reinforce the vintage feel. Nonetheless, in order to have some entertainment during your long baths, you should also have a TV hidden in a cabinet.
For the perfect start you should add reclaimed barn planks as the flooring. Then make sure that all the furniture is made of wood. Add as many cabinets and drawers as possible and have a kitchen island in the middle. The chairs should be covered by leather and add vintage accessories.
Rustic Living Room
In order for the living room to have a visual anchor you should think about covering some of the cabinets with gold colored paper. For contrast you should have wood furniture and a leather armchair. Make sure that the room is well-lit so that it won’t look like a dark hole in your home.
The vintage bedrooms are known for being warm and welcoming. There should be some fire in the room and a couple of cozy armchairs. Make sure that you use a bright color scheme combined with dark wood to have some contrast in the room.
