The dictionary defines ergonomics as applying science to the design of equipment used in an office that is intended to reduce discomfort and fatigue in order to increase productivity by the employees.

When you are spending umpteen hours in front of the computer or on the telephone, the place where you will be sitting needs to be a chair that follows the principles of ergonomics. Your back will need to be supported and your feet should rest comfortably on the floor.
