Creating silhouette art isn’t as difficult as it may seem at first, and the best thing about it is that you can give your home a chic look even if you are on a tight budget.

If you would like to create silhouette art, the first step you have to take is to pose the subject in front of a white background, such as a white wall. In case you are using a sheet, make sure that the source of light is behind it. Then print the photo on a sheet that isn’t larger than the sheet or foam you are working with.
Trace the image on the foam and then cut it out. Stick the shape you get to an art mat. The foam will add some depth to your creation. You could also use some kind of thick paper. If you are using paper, you could add furniture protector pads to add dimension to the art.

Naturally you could also create art of this kind of your pet. Just as in the previous case, you have to take a photo of the subject from the side and print the photo out to the desired size.
Then cut it out along the outlines and trace it on the paper that will become your piece of art.
You have to cut this out as well and glue it on the background that you have chosen for your art.
All there is left for you is to frame your work and put it on display. Another idea that you could use to make your creation even more interesting is to put a frame on the picture made of cardboard as well.
