For instance, the traditional Christmas decoration can’t go without Christmas wreaths. The tradition for the wreaths dates back since the times of ancient Rome. The Romans used to hang wreaths on their doors, in order to mark the victory after a battle.
The Ancient Greeks were doing the same when they had a victory in some sporting event. Nowadays the Christmas wreaths are part of the festive décor and you can see it in any home. Most of the people hang it on the doors; others prefer to place it on the walls of their homes. In case you want to create your own festive wreath, here are few ideas on how to do it.
In case your home décor is elegant, you should create a Christmas wreath from green tree leaves and some artificial flowers. Don’t go for white flowers, place red flowers on the wreath.
Make the Most of the Under-Stairs Space
In case you are living in a small flat or house, you surely want more space. If you are not going to rebuild your home, here is one good idea on how to create more storage places in your home. One of the most proper spots to do it is the place under the stairs.
Typically there is nothing and it isn’t quite functional. So, instead of leaving the space empty, create some wonderful storage space under the stairs.
The functionality of the space isn’t good enough to be turned into a mini bedroom, but there are several ideas you will actually love. Measure the size of the space and think about what you really want to create there. The place can be used only for storage as you can change it a bit.
You should insert some shelves and drawers under the stairs.
If there is enough space, install cabinets and use the shelves only for the decorative pieces. You can store the winter clothes in the cabinets, as well as the winter shoes or things you use less often.
Country Style Decoration – The Inexpensive Note Of Vintage
In case you want to decorate your home and add some stylish notes, choose the country style interior. It is an interior, which is simple, natural and most affordable.
A well decorated home doesn’t depend on the money you spend on it; it depends on the right accents and combination.
In case your home is large enough, then the country style is perfect for your home. The country style is famous for its simplicity, good shapes, natural colors and harmonized décor.
Usually this is the style that is recommended for a family home, because it is comfortable and cozy. Start with the living room because it is the center of the house. In case you have a fireplace, surround it with nice vintage chairs and don’t throw away the good old fabrics. Place them on the sofa and choose some vintage rugs.
When it comes to country style, it is also about wood. Don’t forget that this is the main material; so research the market for some old wooden furniture or antiques. You can remodel and place them accordingly. For instance, the kitchen can be real country styled oasis, if you find some old shelving and place a wooden bar. The paintings on the walls also should be with wooden frames, for it is part of the entire décor.
2010 Furniture Both Minimal And Outstanding
The New Year is at the door and interior designers have already forecasted the upcoming trends in home decoration for spring 2010.
Out of all aspects of home decoration, the most vital part is selection and arrangement of furniture and accessories.
They actually make one’s house a perfect cozy residence. Here is a brief guideline about the latest trends of furniture.

Use minimal furniture to leave sufficient space in the room. You can use low-height furniture; arrange seats that will rest on the floor, thus creating a cozy intimate living room.
You need not stick to a traditional basic design and adopt plans that make the room feel most comfortable.

Cleverly and clearly use your distinguishing style that will reflect on every part of the room, from furniture to accessories. It is better not to mix up two contrasting styles like the royal and classy.
Color plays an important role. Metallic tones will dominate this year. The metallic and beige shade, pure metal or combination of wood and metal are the textures and nuances of choice for sofa sets this year.

However, you can experiment with cushions in vibrant colors made of exotic fabric.

Black House – Bold, Original And Sensational Architectural Approach
The Black House designed by Andres Remy Architects was requested by a young couple, who were prepared to give complete freedom of design. The house is a work of contrasts, with black exterior and white interiors, the use of glass walls emphasizing the contrasting colors.

Black is an unusual color to be used for a house exterior and it makes a bold contemporary statement.

The house is situated 30kms from Buenos Aires and has been designed to gain maximum advantage of the stunning lake view.

The house has been created to suit the social needs of the couple. The living room is located nearer the lake and the kitchens and dining room have been designed on the other side.

A shallow pool, dividing the house in two, reflects the northern light and illuminates the interiors with this indirect light. A glass bridge connects the two parts. The living room has glass walls that bring in the nature like a fresh breath. The glass walls allow a breathtaking view of the lake.

The Bloomframe® balcony can be used for apartments, offices or even hotels that find space at a premium. These can be easily customized to suit the client’s need for color, different dimension and materials.

They can be customized to become a part of the façade and this way the flat façade will bloom with balconies during the sunny summer days.

The House In The Forest But Coming From Another Dimension
This Villa reminds one of the Lego blocks a child plays with. They stack the blocks in an uneven manner to create their own fantasy structures. This stunningly designed villa has been created with three levels stacked in three different directions to maximize the natural view of the forest.

The villa enjoys the serene beauty of the dune forests in Bloemendaal. This Dutch beauty has been designed keeping in mind nature’s bounty on different levels.
Each of the levels has partial glass walls to enjoy the nature. The lowest level is witness to the frolicking of rabbits, the second level takes you closer to the nesting birds and tree creatures like the squirrels and the third drinks in the vast openness of the serene blue skies.

The house has been designed keeping in mind not just the natural views but also to bring the nature physically closer. Each of the rooms is blessed with an open terrace thanks to the creative floor plan and stacking of the three levels. The different angles not only present an interesting elevation but also the opportunity to bring nature closer.

A certain piece of furniture can become the element of balance inside a space. Whether it is imposing by nature or impressive by style a sofa for example can become a defining nuance for a furniture style.
A Gio sofa can turn into the life of a room by the outstanding presence only modern sectionals can offer by themselves without any other further additions. Creative and bold, suited for a modern home full of initiative, this sofa can be a signature piece for your moments of brainstorming but also for your lovely chats with friends.

Depending on the place it is positioned, a sofa can turn into the piece of furniture setting the pace for the room. For example, an Orice sofa says the party is on. It is fitted for a youthful environment where people hang together and have fun while they’re at it.
